Clay mineral formation and transformation in non-marine environments and implications for Early Cretaceous palaeoclimatic evolution: The Weald Basin, Southeast England

چکیده

Analyses of clay minerals within the Early Cretaceous Weald Basin, Southeast England reveal kaolinite, illite and chlorite as main detrital while glauconite smectite are subordinates. A kaolinite-rich assemblage which characterized sand-dominated Ashdown Tunbridge Wells Sand formations an illite-dominated associated mostly with Wadhurst Clay recognized. Kaolinite was enriched in during warm humid climate high precipitation that encouraged chemical weathering leaching, cold dry conditions favoured concentration formations. Rainfall patterns were drastically reduced drier climatic conditions. Most origin, being more prominent than previously Contrary to previous studies assumptions, this study revealed authigenic present Hastings Beds, vermiform mica-replacive kaolinite most common, consistent depositional environments. Isolated is also present, along a chloritized grain, providing evidence for mesodiagenesis. The absence dickite occurrence suggest formed relatively shallow burial conditions, indicating maximum depth 2500 m–3000 m, about 1000 m deeper estimates 1500 m–2000 m. Authigenic absent Formation possibly because hindered flow meteoric water limited growth space minerals. This significant in: 1) reinforcing multiple methods facilitate robust balanced knowledge formation transformation minerals; 2) investigating mineral assemblages when assessing palaeoenvironments sedimentary basins.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

the search for the self in becketts theatre: waiting for godot and endgame

this thesis is based upon the works of samuel beckett. one of the greatest writers of contemporary literature. here, i have tried to focus on one of the main themes in becketts works: the search for the real "me" or the real self, which is not only a problem to be solved for beckett man but also for each of us. i have tried to show becketts techniques in approaching this unattainable goal, base...

Source of Cement in the Great Oolite Reservoir, Storrington Oil Field, Weald Basin, South of England

The source of cement in oilfields is critical to the prediction of the distribution of cements in the reservoirs and also prediction of reservoir quality. The source of mineral forming cements has been determined for the Storrington oolitic carbonate reservoir (Middle Jurassic Great Oolite Formation, Weald Basin, onshore UK) using a combination of petrography, electron microscopy, fluid inclusi...

PALYNOSTRATIGRAPHY AND PACAIEOGEOGRAPHY OF EARLY PEFIMM STRATA IN THE ZAGROS BASIN, SOUTHEAST SOUTHWEST IRAN

A totall of 500 Early Permian samples from the Chal-i-Sheh Formation in the Zagros Basin were examined palynollogically in order to determine the stratigraphical age of the formation and to assess the palaeogeopaphicd relatianships of this basin to the Southern and Northern Hemispheres during the Early Permian. Fifty-eight taxa were recorded including 46 pollen, 10 spore and 2 acritarch spe...
